These 3 habits are slowing down your metabolism!

Metabolism can be described as the process of conversion of food into energy to fuel the life sustaining functions of the body. It also plays an important role in your body weight and its ability to lose weight. If your metabolic rate is high, you will burn more fat. Metabolism slows down with age and due to other factors including some of your habits. These habits could disturb your metabolic rate and it could lead to weight gain. 1. Not drinking enough water

Your body requires water and if you are not drinking enough water then it will slow down your metabolism. According to a researcher from Germany, consuming 1.5 liters of cold water a day can increase the metabolic rate by around 50 calories a day. You can also measure the intake of water in pints. So, drink five pints of water in a day. 2. Avoiding dairy items

3. Not eating anti-inflammatory foods

Inflammatory foods can cause hormonal imbalance, increase the cortisol levels and lead to growth of yeast. You need to consume anti-inflammatory foods to heal your body and keep your metabolism functioning properly. Some of the anti-inflammatory foods are almonds, tomatoes and spinach.
