World Arthritis Day is observed every year on October 12. It was launched by the Arthritis and Rheumatism International (ARI) in 1996. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the disease arthritis and the health issues suffered by people with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs). Other aims of the initiative include educate caregivers, people and medical community about RMDs, make the decision-makers aware about RMDs and to make people aware that there is a huge support system available to them. Many events are organized to inform people about arthritis and RMDs. Arthritis is an autoimmune disorder and it means inflammation of the joints in your body. One of t more joints in your body can get affected by arthritis. The disease can also affect your tendons, muscles, ligaments and cartilage. There are over 100 different types of arthritis. Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are two of the most common types of arthritis. It is a painful disease and can last long. 1. Dark chocolate
Loaded with antioxidants, dark chocolate can reduce inflammation. Make sure the chocolate has at least 60 percent or more cocoa content. To limit the calorie and fat intake, eat a small portion.
2. Green tea
Green tea is one of the healthiest drinks on earth. Here are some of the health benefits of green tea. Rich in antioxidants and nutrient, it can ease inflammation and severity of the disease. Use tea bags as they undergo less processing. You can have two cups of green tea in a day.
3. Turmeric and ginger
