With a busy lifestyle, people usually find less or no time at all to take of their health. 1. Jalandhara Bandha (The chin lock pose)


Jalandhara stimulates thyroid gland is beneficial for people suffering from thyroid issues. It improves your metabolism and makes your jawline more defined.

How to do it: Start by sitting comfortably in padmasana with your palms on your knees. Now, inhale deeply and hold your breath. Bend your head forward and place your chin between your collarbones. Keep your hands straight and lock this position. Hold this position for as long as possible, then return to the original position and breathe out.

2. Virabhadrasana (Warrior 2 pose)


The warrior pose will strengthen your core and tone your muscles. The asana opens up your hips and engages stomach muscles. It also improves concentration and stamina.

How to do it: Start by standing straight with your feet wider than your shoulder. Keep your hands at your side. Now, point your right foot to your right and bend your right knee so that your right thigh is parallel to the ground. Lift your hand up till shoulder level with the palms facing the floor. Turn your face to your right and hold this position for about three minutes. 3. Simhasana (Lion pose)


Lion pose will help you lose fat from your face and will tone it. It also is a great stress reliever. Your face will have a healthy glow with regular practice of this pose.

How to do it: Start by sitting in vajrasana. Now, open up your knees and place your palms in front of you on the ground. Bend slightly forward and open your mouth. Draw your tongue out and breathe while making ‘aaah’ sound. Keep your core engaged. Do this for a couple of times and then come back to the original pose.

4. Ardha Pincha Mayurasana (Dolphin pose)


Ardh Pincha Mayurasana or dolphin pose will tone your arms, triceps and biceps. The arms will be doing the majority of the work as it will support your body weight.

How to do it: Start by coming to all fours. Then place your forearms on the floor in front of you. Make sure the elbows are right under your shoulders. Now, curl your toes under and raise your hips. Keep your legs straight. Keep your shoulder blades firm and your core engaged. Place your feet flat on the floor and hold this position for a couple of seconds. 5. Naukasana (Boat pose)


Naukasana is one of the best poses to get rid of the tummy fat and strengthen your stomach muscles. This yoga pose will give you visible results.

How to do it: Start by lying down on the floor on your back. Keep your legs together and your hands at your side. Inhale and lift your legs keeping them straight. Engage your stomach muscles and lift up your upper body and arms towards your legs. Hold this position for a few seconds and come back to the original position.
