New Delhi, May 22: Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal’s close associate Manish Sisodia was released on Thursday after the death of his father Dharampal Singh.
The police detained Aam Aadmi Party leaders, including Manish Sisodia, Yogendra Yadav, and Sanjay Singh, after they refused to budge from the site – Gate No.3 of the Tihar Jail. The protest, which began around 7 p.m., led to a traffic snarl – up to five km – in areas like Delhi Cantt in south Delhi.
The protestors raised slogans against Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitin Gadkari. A Delhi court Wednesday sent Kejriwal to two-day judicial custody after he refused to furnish a personal bail bond in a defamation case filed by Gadkari.
