Distressed families of MH17 crash victims unwilling to visit crash site

Johannesburg, July 20 : Following the recent Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 disaster, only four relatives of the Boeing 777 crash victims have requested to visit the crash site in Eastern Ukraine. According to News.com.au, Malaysia Airlines initially anticipated a large takeup and offered to put on acharter flight to take distraught family members to Kiev and then by vehicle to the disaster zone nine hours away.

The consular officials in Australia had also reportedly made arrangements for the families ofAustralia n passengers onboard the ill-fated flight to travel to Ukraine. However, the ghastly scenes of the disaster site shown on television seem to have deterred most of the families of MH17 crash victims from traveling to the conflict prone country.
