Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) finally announced that they have an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the general elections after many days of negotiations.
LJP will mostly contest on seven seats in Bihar and Ram Vilas Paswan and BJP chief Rajnath Singh will hold a joint press conference on the tie-up soon.
The top brass of the BJP met earlier in the day with LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan in New Delhi to formalize details related to the alliance and also discuss the possibility of sharing of seats.
Both the BJP and LJP leaders have refused to comment about the contents of the meet. Among the top brass from the BJP, Pratap Rudy, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Shahnawaz Hussain were at Ram Vilas Paswan’s house for the details of the tie-up.
Narendra Modi was also in New Delhi today when the details were being worked out.
