The Aam Aadmi Party Friday launched its free national membership drive named as “Main bhi Aam Aadmi”.

Five ways to become AAP member include sending an SMS or giving a missed call on “07798220033”, registering on the AAP website, getting registered at the party’s membership camps and by filling a form with copy of voter ID attached to it.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said from now onwards no one will have to pay a single penny to become the member of AAP.

“We have a target of one crore membership by Jan 26,” said Kejriwal, adding that already 300,000 membership applications had been received online. (Read: 10 things you didn’t know about Kejriwal)

Till now, one had to pay a Rs.10 membership fee to join the party. IANS
