Narendra Modi who is going to take the oath today as the 15th Prime Minister of India offered his heart-felt condolences to the families of victims that were killed during the Gorakhdham Express train accident. The super-fast train which travels from Gorakhpur to Hisar via New Delhi, crashed into the goods train on platform no. 1 of the at Chureb railway station. Around six bogies were derailed.
Around 20 people are feared to be killed and more than 50 are said to be injured in this accident that took place at Sant Kabir Nagar in Uttar Pradesh on the Monday morning. The to-be Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to offer his condolences to the victim’s families. He wrote, “My condolences to families of those who lost their lives in the Gorakhdham express tragedy. Prayers with the injured.”
Narendra Modi also tweeted about the measures to be taken to ensure proper medication and relief is provided to the injured. He wrote, “Spoke to the Cabinet Secretary. Asked him to take an overview of the situation & ensure timely assistance to those injured.” A relief train was sent from Gorakhpur to the accident site.
Bharatiya Janata Party President Rajnath Singh also offered his condolences to the families who are going through this turmoil.
