New Delhi, June 3: Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde died Tuesday morning in a road accident in Delhi when he was going towards an airport, said Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Munde met with an accident at Aurobindo Marg in south Delhi and admitted to AIIMS trauma centre where he died later, he said.
The Union Minister was brought to Trauma Center at AIIMS at 6:30AM by personal assistant and driver. The Union Minister for Rural Development Gopinath Munde collapsed in the car when accident happened around 6:20 am. Munde was declared dead at 7.20 a.m.
The senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party was on his way to Delhi Airport. He was going to his constituency Beed in Maharashtra for the first time after the massive win in 16th Lok Sabha Elections results. Munde was to address several public rallies at the constituency.
