Akshay Kumar is such a loserNew song from 'Housefull'
No we're not calling Akshay Kumar a loser, the actor is calling himself that. Akki is busy shooting for a song named 'He's such a loser' for his upcoming film 'Houseful'. Although we have to say Akki really needs to make some decent movies with decent songs. His latest actioner 'Blue' was a strenuous watch and the song 'Chiggy Wiggy' was equally ludicrous. Ditto for the embarrassing track 'I got the picture' from the ghastly Nagesh Kukunoor film '8x10 Tasveer'. And now we have 'He's such a loser'. Was this some sort of metaphor or innuendo, because all of his films are tanking at the box office? And if what Akki said is true, the song will make unintelligent people feel even worse about themselves. Is that supposed to be funny? We all know that Akki's sense of humour is quite non existent unless he has lines ready to be read, but this is taking 'lame' to the next level. Talking about the song, Akshay said, "Today, I am exhilarated. I am in love with life, I am writing to you after a hilarious day of shooting with Sajid Khan and my wonderful co-stars, Riteish, Arjun, Lara and Deepika, who are now singing, `He`s such a loser`, and it is directed at me". “I am playing a loser of all losers, and the crazy director that Sajid is, he has made a song to make all idiots in the world feel like absolute idiots, (even then, compared to me, they`re probably still cooler...) I love his ideas, he`s afraid of nothing, he has so much faith in me that it`s scary", adds the actor. 'Houseful' stars Deepika Padukone, Ritesh Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta and Jiah Khan. The film is directed by Sajid Khan, who earlier made the 'Three men and a baby' ripoff 'Heyy Baby' and the opening segment of 'Darna Zaroori Hai'. The film is slated for a mid-2010 release. And as we reported earlier, Asin had refused the role that Deepika Padukone is playing. Did she make the right decision? The very thought of the 'Loser' song makes us cringe. November 12, 2009
