Trailer of Housefull premiers with Karthik Calling

It was revealed today that the first trailer of the highly anticipated 'Housefull' will be attached to prints of 'Karthik Calling Karthik' which opens in theaters this Friday.

Producer Sajid Nadiawala said that the trailer would give almost nothing away of the plot, but that the clip would indeed be exciting and would be well worth the wait. 'Housefull' stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Paduokone, Lara Dutta and is directed by Sajid Khan, who earlier made the comedy 'Heyy baby'. According to rumours 'Housefull' revolves around a goof (Akshay Kumar) who happens to be the unluckiest man on earth on a quest to find the luckiest girl in the world.

"A trailer is meant to excite audiences enough to get them talking about the film. But as a maker you definitely do not want to give away too much of the story. I`m sure the audiences will enjoy the promo," said the film`s producer Sajid Nadiadwala in a press statement. 'Housefull' also stars Ritesh Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal and Jiah Khan in supporting roles. However the film is not very expensive, unlike other films by Nadiawala. "Let me state the budget of the film on record here. `Housefull` is just a 40-45 crores film. It was never an expensive film to begin with," Nadiadwala said. The producer suffered when his 'Kambakhht Ishq', which had Hollywood's Sylvester Stallone and Denise Richards disappointed at the box office last year.

"My last release Kambakkth Ishq was expensive but that was because it had so many foreign actors. I have been making films for 25 years now and I am not mad to invest in something from where recovery becomes an issue." he said.
