Mumbai, Dec 6 (PTI) Base metals including copper, brass utensils scrap, aluminium, zinc, lead, tin and nickel dropped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists’ selling amid lower demand from industrial users.
While brass sheet cuttings recovered marginally owing to fresh demand from consuming industries.
Nickel weakened by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 750 from Tuesday’s close at Rs 770.
Copper cable scrap and copper billets slipped by Rs 8 per kg each to Rs 433 and Rs 461 from Rs 441 and Rs 469 yesterday.
Copper scrap heavy slid by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 424 as against Rs 431 yesterday.
Copper armature and tin eased by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 412 and Rs 1,330 as compared with yesterday’s close at Rs 417 and Rs 1,335.
Zinc moved down by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 234 from Rs 238 and copper utensils edged down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 387 as against Rs 390 yesterday.
Copper sheet cuttings and lead softened by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 408 and Rs 166 as compared Rs 410 and Rs 168.
Brass utensils scrap and aluminium ingots inched down by a Re per kg each to Rs 314 and Rs 151, respectively.
However, brass sheet cuttings inched up to Rs 329 per kg.
