New Delhi, Apr 12 (PTI) Base metal prices drifted lower by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today, tracking a weak trend overseas amid subdued demand from consuming industries.

Traders said apart from a weak trend overseas, easing demand demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market,led to decline in base metal prices.

Globally, copper for delivery in three-month sank 1.4 per cent to USD 6,854.50 per metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, Copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4×4) declined by Rs 2 each to Rs 418 and Rs 823-828 per kg respectively.

Zinc ingot also eased by a similar margin to Rs 124-130 per kg.

Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg): Zinc ingot Rs 124-130, nickel plate (4×4) Rs 823-828, gun metal scrap Rs 227, bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 418, chadri deshi Rs 295.

Lead ingot Rs 123, lead imported Rs 130, aluminium ingots Rs 161, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 157, aluminium wire scrap Rs 157 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 155.
