New Delhi, Mar 14 (PTI) Base metal prices rose by upto Rs 5 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on stockists buying following an uptick in demand from consuming industries.

Traders said fresh stockists buying, driven by pick up in demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market led to the rise in base metal prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4×4) rose by Rs 5 each to Rs 790-795 and Rs 405 per kg, respectively.

Zinc ingot, lead ingot and lead imported were also enquired higher by Rs 2 each to Rs 122-128, Rs 121 and Rs 127 per kg, respectively.

Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg): Zinc ingot Rs 122-128, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 790-795, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 405, chadri deshi Rs 295.

Lead ingot Rs 121, lead imported Rs 127, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148.
