Mumbai, Apr 11 (PTI) Base metals including copper, aluminium, lead and nickel rose at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists’ buying amid sustained demand from industrial users.

However, brass slipped owing to sluggish demand from consuming industries.

Aluminium ingots gained Rs 11 per kg to Rs 162 from Tuesday’s closing level of Rs 151.

Nickel and aluminium utensils went up by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 124 and Rs 915 as against Rs 119 and Rs 910 yesterday.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper billets and lead edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 455, Rs 449, Rs 483 and Rs 167 as compared Rs 453, Rs 447, Rs 481 and Rs 165, respectively.

Copper armiture inched to Rs 444 per kg.

However, brass sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 352 from Rs 355 and brass utensils scrap softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 337.
