Mumbai, Apr 2 (PTI) Copra Rajapur prices slipped in an otherwise lacklustre spices market here today following subdued demand from stockists and retailers.

Meanwhile, copra edible rose further owing to firm offtake from stockists and retailers.

Rest of the other spices ruled steady in the absence of necessary buying activities.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai fell Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 18,000 from last Saturday’s closing level of Rs 17,500.

However, Copra edible rose by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 16,200 as against Rs 16,000 previously.

Following are today’s closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets): Black pepper (per kg) 390/450 (390/450), ginger unbleached (per kg) 125 (125), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) closed (13,700), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) closed (13,500), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 18,000 (17,500), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 16,200 (16,000).
