New Delhi, Mar 21 (PTI) Coriander and turmeric prices drifted lower by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today owing to low demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.

Coriander and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 6,400-13,100 and Rs 7,200-10,500 per quintal, respectively.

Marketmen said slackened demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down coriander and turmeric prices.

Following are today’s quotations (in Rs): Ajwain (per kg) 125-180, black pepper (per kg) 650-800, betel-nut (kg) 250-295, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 750-770 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 810-1,100.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 1,350-1,450, cardamom (colour robin) 1,260-1,270, cardamom bold 1,300-1,320, cardamom extra (bold) 1,380-1,400 and cloves 560-665. (MORE)
