New Delhi, Apr 5 (PTI) Amid pick up in demand at domestic spot market, crude palm oil prices were up by 0.27 per cent to Rs 660 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators built up fresh positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in May rose by Rs 1.80, or 0.27 per cent to Rs 660 per 10 kg in business turnover of 10 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April was trading higher by Rs 1.10, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 654 per 10 kg in 226 lots.

Analysts said the rise in crude palm oil prices was mostly due to building up of fresh positions by traders after upsurge in demand in the physical against restricted supplies from growing regions.
