Mumbai, Mar 27 (PTI) The Aurangabad-based Dhoot Transmission has made its second acquisition in England within a year by buying out Parkinson Harness Technology for a reported Rs 200 crore, which will increase its European revenues considerably.

Dhoot Transmission is the second largest wiring harness manufacturer in the country in the two-wheeler space and nets almost 30 per cent of its revenue from exports.

This is the third acquisition for the company after the TFC Cable Assemblies in Scotland & Slovakia and a joint venture into automotive electronics for sensors, controllers and automotive switches with Carling Technologies of the US earlier this year, the company said in a statement.

With this new acquisition, Dhoot has expanded its portfolio in the lucrative four-wheeler category, especially in the construction, agriculture and off-roaders segment.


Network18 elevates Avinash Kaul as COO

Network18 has elevated Avinash Kaul as chief operating officer. In his new role, Kaul will oversee the operations of all national and regional news channels and will also continue to remain the managing director of A+E Networks of the group.

He joined TV18 in mid-2014 and since then has been responsible for the overall profit and loss responsibilities of all the brands managed by him.

Through this partnership, Cordis range of products would be made available to patients across the country, the company said in a statement.

Turner appoints IndiaCast as sole distribution agent Turner International India has appointed IndiaCast Media Distribution as its exclusive distribution agent from April.

IndiaCast is a joint venture between TV18 and Viacom18 and will also distribute Turner India’s bouquet of channels– CNN International, Pogo, Cartoon Network, WB, HBO and HBO HD- in Nepal and Bhutan as well.
