New Delhi, Sep 15 (PTI) Freight rates for the nine-tonne payload section quoted higher by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following busy cargo movements amid tight position of trucks.

Transporters said less availability of trucks and increased cargo movements pushed up freight rates.

Delhi to Bengaluru, Surat, Chennai and Mysore freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 64,000, Rs 26,000, Rs 65,000 and Rs 66,000.

Rates to Kochi, Puducherry, Goa and Guwahati also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 75,000, Rs 68,000, Rs 59,000 and Rs 61,000.
