New Delhi, Apr 17 (PTI) Guar gum prices came down by Rs 65 to Rs 8,745 per quintal in futures trade today on liquidation of bets by investors in the wake of sluggish export demand.
Market players said, subdued export demand for oil drilling industries, depressed the investors, which resulted in a slide in the prices of guar gum.
In addition to that, bloated stocks on ceaseless supplies of guar seed from growing belts in spot markets also pulled down the trading sentiments in futures of guar gum, they said.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for April delivery receded by Rs 65, or 0.74 per cent, to Rs 8,745 per quintal, having an open interest of 685 lots.
