Shimla, Jul 10 (PTI) Heavy rains today lashed several parts of Himachal Pradesh triggering landslides at interior areas of Mandi and Kangra, the MeT office said.
The office has warned of heavy rains at isolated places in the mid and lower hills of Kangra, Mandi, Sirmaur, Shimla, Solan and Bilaspur over the next two days.
It has also predicted a wet spell in the region for next till July 15.
Sundernagar received 124 mm of rains in the past 24 hours, Sarkaghat 106 mm, Dharamshala 89 mm, Bhoranj 80 mm, Gaggal 79 mm, Mandi 71 mm, Dehra Gopipur 69 mm, Baijnath 60 mm, Bijahi 57 mm and Guler 55 mm.
The maximum temperature saw no appreciable change and Una recorded a high of 37 degrees Celsius, Kangra 32.5 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar 32 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 30.8 degrees Celsius, Nahan 19.6 degrees Celsius, Dharamshala 28.6 degrees Celsius, Solan 28.5 degrees Celsius, Manali and Kalpa 25.6 degrees Celsius each and Shimla 24.5 degrees Celsius.
There was no significant change in the minimum temperatures and Manali was coldest at night recording a low of 14.2 degrees Celsius followed by Keylong 15.8 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 16.2 degrees Celsius. The key tourist resorts of Shimla and Dharamshala recorded a minimum temperature at 17.6 degrees Celsius and 19.4 degrees Celsius.
