New Delhi, Nov 15 (PTI) Maize prices edged higher by Rs 10 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today due to mild demand from consuming industries.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders attributed the rise in maize prices to some demand from consuming industries.
In the national capital, maize traded higher by Rs 10 to Rs 1,310-1,315 per quintal.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per quintal): Wheat MP (desi) Rs 2,150-2,350, Wheat dara (for mills) Rs 1,850-1,855, Chakki atta (delivery) Rs 1,855-1,860, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) Rs 260-300, Shakti Bhog (10 kg) Rs 255-290, Roller flour mill Rs 1,010-1,020 (50 kg), Maida Rs 1,050-1,060 (50 kg)and Sooji Rs 1,080-1,090 (50 kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) Rs 10,700, Shri Lal Mahal Rs 11,300, Super Basmati Rice Rs 9,800, Basmati common new Rs 7,700-7,800, Rice Pusa (1121) Rs 6,200-6,300, Permal raw Rs 2,250-2300, Permal wand Rs 2,300-2,350, Sela Rs 2,500-2,700 and Rice IR-8 Rs 1,900-1,925, Bajra Rs 1,190-1,195, Jowar yellow Rs 1,350-1,400, white Rs 2,700-2,800, Maize Rs 1,310- 1,315, Barley Rs 1,510-1,520.
