Kolkata, Apr 16 (PTI) Metro Railway services were today affected briefly following a technical fault in a non-AC rake, a Metro railway official said.

The incident happened at around 1.39 pm when the rake came to a halt at Netaji Bhawan station in south Kolkata following a technical fault, Kolkata Metro CPRO Indrani Banerjee told PTI.

“All the passengers were evacuated safely and we have removed the rake to Noapara for proper inspection,” she said.

Last night, another non-AC rake of the Metro was stranded partly inside a tunnel following an electrical snag, creating panic among commuters.
