Indore, Feb 13 (PTI) The Border Security Force (BSF) is giving sniper weapon training to the Mongolian border protection agency GABP.
“A ten-member team, comprising officers from the rank of sergeant to that of lieutenant colonel of Mongolia’s General Authority for Border Protection (GABP), is being trained in the use of sniper weapons,” said inspector general B K Mehta of the BSF’s Central School of Weapons and Tactics here.
The two-week training started yesterday, he said.
Incidentally, both India and Mongolia share border with China.
As per a 2014 agreement, India has assured the GABP of help with capacity building in areas of special operations, cyber security, computers and IT, weapons and tactics, bomb disposal and disaster management.
