Naseemuddin Siddiqui forms new political party

Lucknow, May 27 (IANS) Expelled Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui floated his new political party – Rashtriya Bahaman Morcha on Saturday.

Siddiqui, at one time the closest confidante of Mayawati, said that his new party would follow the ideals of Dr B.R. Ambedkar and BSP founder Kanshiram.

He also alleged that the BSP had deviated from the real and basic objectives with which it was former by Mayawati’s mentor Kanshiram and his party will now work to finish the political journey of Mayawati.

Mayawati had thrown out Siddiqui and his son Afzal from the party on May 10, after which the expelled leader had levelled serious charges against the four-time Chief Minister, even alleging that she had sought Rs 50 crore from him. He had also released some audio tapes of his telephonic conversations with the BSP chief.

Naseemuddin also appointed three co-convenors of the party. These include former minister O.P. Singh, Brahmaswaroop Sagar and Acche Lal Nishad.
