Puducherry, Apr 13 (PTI) Former Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today charged the Narayanasamy-led Congress government here with failing to press the Centre on forming the Cauvery Management Board.

Talking to reporters here, Rangasamy, also opposition leader, said, “the territorial government has not taken appropriate steps to mount pressure on the Centre to form the CMB.”

Rangasamy said AINRC MLAs had participated in the joint meeting of leaders and MLAs convened by Puducherry government recently to discuss the Cauvery issue.

A three-time Chief Minister, the AINRC chief said as the Congress is ruling Karnataka, the Congress government in Puducherry was not keen on fighting it to get Karaikal region its due share of Cauvery water.
