Mumbai, Apr 10 (PTI) Select base metals including copper, brass and nickel gained at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists’ buying amidst good demand from industrial users.
While, zinc and lead slipped owing to subdued demand from alloy industries.
Nickel recovered by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 910 from Monday’s closing level of Rs 895 and copper utensils rose by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 420 as against Rs 413.
Copper armature went up by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 443 as compared Rs 437 and copper sheet cuttings increased by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 440 from Rs 435.
Copper cable scrap and copper billets moved up by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 453 and Rs 481 as against Rs 450 and Rs 478.
Copper scrap heavy, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 447, Rs 338 and Rs 355 from Rs 445, Rs 336 and Rs 353, respectively.
However, zinc edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 240 as against Rs 242 and lead softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 165.
