New Delhi, Feb 15 (PTI) Silver prices rose 0.12 per cent to Rs 38,720 per kg in futures trade today as speculators raised bets amid positive global cues.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March gained Rs 48, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 38,720 per kg in a business turnover of 1,280 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in May contracts rose Rs 35, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 39,189 per kg in 72 lots.
Market analysts attributed the rise in silver futures to widening of bets by participants on back of positive trend in global market supported by a weaker dollar.
Globally, silver rose 0.36 per cent to USD 16.90 an ounce in Singapore.
