New Delhi, Apr 10 (PTI) Soybean prices weakened by Rs 44 to Rs 3,761 per quintal in futures trade today as traders cut down their bets, triggered by a weak trend overseas.

Market players said apart from profit-booking, a weak trend in the global markets led to the fall in soybean prices in futures trade here.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean to be delivered in April slipped by Rs 44 or 1.16 per cent to Rs 3,761 per quintal, with an open interest of 87,920 lots.

Also, the most-traded delivery in May month contracts also lost Rs 38 or 0.98 per cent at Rs 3,841 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,52,550 lots.
