New Delhi, Apr 5 (PTI) Soybean prices were up by Rs 25 to Rs 3,856 per quintal in futures trade today largely after participants created fresh positions in line with upbeat overseas cues.
Marketmen said the rise in soybean prices in futures trade was mostly attributed to a firm trend in global markets and an upward trend in edible oil prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for delivery in May advanced by Rs 25 or 0.65 per cent to Rs 3,856 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,14,710 lots.
Soybean for the most-traded delivery this month also enquired higher by Rs 22 or 0.58 per cent to Rs 3,792 per quintal, having the business turnover of 1,48,170 open lots.
