New Delhi, Jun 19 (PTI) Sugar mill gate prices fell by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following ample stocks due to persistent supplies from mills amid selective buying activity.

On the other hand, sugar spot remained in keen demand, lifting prices by Rs 20 per quintal.

Marketmen said relentless supplies from mills amidst limited offtake by stockist and bulk consumers such as soft- drink and ice-cream makers, mainly weighed on sugar millgate sugar prices.

Sugar mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices dropped by Rs 10 each to end at Rs 3,530-3,645 and Rs 3,520-3,635 per quintal.

In the millgate section, sugar Morna, Kinnoni, Ramala, Anupshaher, Baghpat, Nanota and Sakoti eased by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,535, Rs 3,645, Rs 3,535, Rs 3,530, Rs 3,540, Rs 3,535 and Rs 3,580 per quintal respectively.

On the other hand, sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices enquired higher by Rs 20 each to end at Rs 3,850-3,940 and Rs 3,840-3,930 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per quintal) Sugar retail markets – Rs 40.00-43.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,850-3,940, S-30 Rs 3,840-3,930.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,530-3,645, S-30 Rs 3,520-3,635.
