Chennai, Jun 19 (PTI):South west monsoon has been

vigorous over Telangana, Rayalaseema and active over

North interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal

Karnataka, Lakshadweep and Telangana and at many places over

Rayalaseema ,Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala and at a few

places over South Interior Karnataka and North interior

Karnataka and at isolated places over Tamilnadu.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres

are: TAMILNADU: Red hills (Tiruvallur Dist) 2, Cholavaram

(Tiruvallur Dist) 1. KERALA: Ernakulam south 3, Kannur,

Thalasserry (Kannur district),Vadakkancherry

(Thrissur district) & Idukki 2 each and Agathi & Aminidivi

(Lakshadweep), Hosdurg (Kasaragod district), Manjeri

(Malappuram district), Piravom (Ernakulam district) &

Kumarakom (Kottayam district) 1 each.

KARNATAKA: Sedam (Kalaburgi dt) 9, Ankola (Uttara

Kannada DT), Narayanpur (Yadgir DT) 6 each; Karwar 5; Manki

(Uttara Kannada dt), Yedwad (Belgavi dt), Basavakalyan (Bidar

dt), Chincholi (Kalaburgi dt), Bhimarayanagudi ARG (Yadgir dt)

4 each; Belthangadi, Dharmasthala (both Dakshina Kannada dt),

Shirali, Kumta, Kadra (both Uttara Kannada dt), Vijayapura,
