New Delhi, Mar 14 (PTI) Wheat prices fell by Rs 15 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by flour mills against sufficient stocks position.
Barley also ended lower on subdued demand from consuming industries.
Traders said besides reduced offtake by flour mills, adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts, mainly weighed on wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 15 to Rs 1,775-1,780 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 1,785-1,790 per 90 kg.
Barley also slipped to Rs 1,475-1,480 from previous level of Rs 1,490-1,500 per quintal.
