Mathura, May 19 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee chief Raj Babbar has said that the deteriorating law and order situation in Kashmir was due to unresolved problem of unemployment among youths and alleged crushing of their voice instead of it being heard.
He also attributed the situation to an “unholy alliance” of BJP-PDP, saying the BJP entered into an unholy alliance with a party (PDP), which it had been criticising in Jammu and Kashmir”.
On the performance of Narendra Modi government in three years, he said promises made by the party have not been fulfilled.
Citing examples, Babbar told PTI that the party’s election manifesto BJP had promised to fix MSP (minimum support price) one and half time more of the cost of farmer, however, it has not been honored.
He said, on page number 44 of the BJP’s election manifesto the party had promised to fix MSP (minimum support price).
Promise to provide batter house, jobs to two crore youth, were among the some of the matripromise made by the Prime Minister Modi, three years before, still remains a dream for unemployed youth.
As for law and order situation is concerned, less said the better it would be, he stated.
“The number of shaheeds has swell to about 400 in Modi regime as against 171 killed during 10-year rule of Congress,” he claimed, adding that promise of ten heads in place of two heads has not been translated into reality so far.
It was promised to open gates of development through investment , however, there is no investment even though the Prime Minister has made maximum foreign trips.
Babbar also attributed the “failure of foreign policy to the strained relations with Pakistan.
India even had missed to take advantage of SAARC summit by boycotting with its sister members.
Pakistan could have been pressurised across the table through SAARC (South Asian Association for regional cooperation)” he claimed.
He, finally attributed poor performance of the Union government to scant respect for “experience” opposition and not having healthy opposition.
