Cashew declines on subdued demand

New Delhi, Dec 1 (PTI) Cashew prices fell by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today due to sluggish demand from bulk consumers amidst adequate stocks.
Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 230) eased by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 1,095-1,105, Rs 985-995, Rs 885-895 and Rs 785-795 per kg, respectively.
Traders attributed fall in cashew prices to subdued demand from bulk consumers against adequate stocks.
Besides, prevailing cash crunch in the market too weighed on sentiments, they said.
Following are today’s quotations (per 40 kgs): Almond (California) Rs 15,900-16,100, Almond(Gurbandi-new) Rs 12,000-12,200, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,500-5,700; Abjosh Afghani Rs 5,000-22,000.
