Nickel slips on subdued demand

Mumbai, Dec 1 (PTI) Nickel prices slipped at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists selling amid subdued demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, zinc and lead eased further owing to lower demand from alloy industries.
Copper prices gained owing to good demand from industrial users.
Nickel prices declined by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 880 from Wednesday’s close Rs 900.
Zinc prices weakened by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 240 as against Rs 245 yesterday and lead moved down by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 151 from Rs 155.
However, copper scrap heavy regained by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 403 as compared Rs 399 yesterday.
Copper armiture and copper sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 387 and Rs 382 as against Rs 385 and Rs 380 respectively.
Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar inched up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 409 and Rs 437. PTI BPD MR
