Mumbai, November 30: A video purportedly showing a family forced to leave cinema hall after they refused to stand up during national anthem is going viral on social media. The 2 minute 40 seconds long video clip shows audience having altercation with a family who refused to stand up when the national anthem was being played. The person who uploaded the video claimed those who didn’t stand up were from a Muslim family.

The video has been put up on social networking site Facebook claiming a Muslim family was thrown out of theatre after they made excuses for not standing up when the national anthem was playing. In the video, a group of people is seen questioning the family as to why they could not stand for the national anthem. After heated argument, the family finally leave the cinema hall while the and the audience celebrated with a round of applause. The video has been shared thousands of times. It is also being circulated on WhatsApp and other social platforms.

Though the authenticity of the video’s location is not verified, according to some reports, the incident took place during a show of the movie Tamasha at a PVR in Kurla in Mumbai, while some reports suggest that the incident took place at a PVR in Bengaluru. Watch the complete video below:
