Mumbai: Monorail stuck near Bhakti Park station, passengers evacuated, services halted

Mumbai, Aug 1: Monorail in Mumbai was stuck near Bhakti Park station on Monday morning. The Monorail, which connects Wadala to Chembur, is stuck near Bhakti Park station since 6.30 AM due to a technical glitch. All the passengers stranded in the Monorail have been evacuted safely. Mumbaikars took to Twitter and shared the news to alert other commuters.

According to initial reports, the monorail got stuck near Bhakti Park station due to technical problem. The authorities then decided to evacuate the passengers from the monorail. Monorail services have been stopped for now. The authorities are working to restore the services. There was no official statement released by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) regarding the technical glitch that led to the fiasco. More details are awaited.
