New Delhi, May 26: The Bharatiya Janata Party government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that took oath on May 26, 2014 completes three years at the Centre today. It was on May 16, 2014 that the BJP won a whopping 282 seats while the National Democratic Alliance won a total of 336 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Since then, there has been no looking back for the party led by Amit Shah. The party has emerged victorious in many assembly as well as civic elections. From ‘Ab Ki Baar, Modi Sarkar’ to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, it’s been a roaring 3 years to the Modi government at the Centre.

In the past three years, the Modi government has had its own hits and misses. While the marketing game of Narendra Modi is on point, there have been some controversies that the Modi government has been marred by. This has also been the government to have taken landmark decisions such as demonetisation, surgical strike and advancement of the General Budget.

Apart from the big bang decisions, the Modi sarkar has also been a social media blitz. And, the scene is no different when it comes to celebrating its 3 years. The BJP has planned a grand ‘Modifest’ in 900 cities across the country from May 26 to June 15 to highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi government.

The Modifest will be kicked off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Guwahati in Assam today. Modi will inaugurate India’s longest bridge, the Dhola-Sadiya Bridge, on the Brahmaputra today. The bridge stretches to nine kilometres and connects Assam with Arunachal Pradesh.

Union Ministers, Parliamentarians, BJP Chief Ministers, state ministers and several senior party leaders will also address events across the country. A book on Modi’s radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ will also be released by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan today.

Modi is also set to launch ‘Jann Ki Baat’ after ‘Mann Ki Baat’. With the ‘Jann Ki Baat’ programme, Narendra Modi aims to get people’s feedback on his government’s programmes and policies. Between May 26 and June 15, BJP leaders, ministers and chief ministers will visit several states meeting people and taking their feedback on the ruling governments as well as the central government.

Meanwhile, it also remains to be seen what the Congress has planned on 3 years of the Modi government. On May 16, the Congress had released a video named ‘3 saal, 3 tikdum’ lashing out the the Modi government for its promises made and broken. It remains to be seen what the Congress has in its store for May 26.
