New Delhi, Mar 14: Known for his work in films like Haider, Raees and Ghayal Once Again among many others, actor Narendra Jha passed away at the age of 55, after suffering from a major heart attack on Wednesday. Jha died at his farmhouse in Wada around 5 in the morning.

Narendra Jha, who was in Wada with his wife Pankaja Thakur was recuperating from a minor attack which he suffered a few days ago. He was undergoing treatment at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.

Born in Bihar’s Madhubani area, Narendra Jha’s acting career began way back in 1992 when he enrolled in SRCC acting diploma course after his post graduation in history from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Thereafter, Jha came to Mumbai and became a popular face in the advertising world. He started his acting career with the television industry and became a known face with shows like Begusarai, Ek Ghar Banaunga, Supercops vs Supervillains and others.

Having done more than 20 TV serials, Jha then ventured into Bollywood and got his first stint on the silver screen with Funtoosh. He also played an important role in Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose: The Last Hero by Shyam Benegal but caught the public eye with his portrayal as Dr Hilal Meer, Shahid Kapoor’s on-screen father in Haider. He also played supporting roles in movies like Force 2, Mohenjo Daro and Humari Adhuri Kahaani among many others.
