Ahmedabad, Nov 14: After an alleged sex video of Patidar leader Hardik Patel that was telecast on local Gujarati TV channels, new videos have emerged that claim he was drinking with his friends. In the new videos, being circulated on social media, a man resembling Hardik Patel drinking with others. The videos claim to be from May when 24-year-old pro-reservation Patidar leader and his supporters shaved their heads and marched about 155 kilometres to demand “justice for Patels” ahead of the PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Gujarat. India.com cannot verify the authenticity of the videos.
On Monday, several Gujarati channels broadcast what was described as a “sex CD” of Hardik Patel. The footage shows a Hardik Patel-lookalike with an unidentified woman, fully clothed and with her back to the camera, and then the room turns dark. While Hardik Patel termed the video as a ‘dirty trick’ of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the ruling party of Gujarat said it has nothing to do with the alleged sex cd. Hardik’s supporters claimed the video was morphed.
“Just few days back, I told the media that such CDs will be circulated. This is just the beginning of dirty politics. I am sure that BJP people would circulate some more CDs because the man who did it recently joined the party in Delhi. But I am not worried at all about such tactics,” Hardik Patel told media. “This is a morphed clip and I will give evidence in the coming days to prove my innocence. The BJP wants to retain power by defaming me,” he said.
On the other hand, the BJP rubbished Hardik Patel’s allegation and dared him to file a police complaint. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya reacted sharply to Patel’s accusation. “It is a shameful incident in public life. If the video clip is fake, Hardik Patel should approach police and file a complaint,” Mandaviya said. He said the BJP has nothing to do with the clip.
Hardik Patel has vowed to help take down the BJP in Gujarat Assembly elections 2017. Patel has been veering towards the Congress ahead of the polls and the party promised it would give the influential Patidars constitutionally valid reservation. The Gujarat elections will be held in two phases on December 9 and 14 and the results will be declared on December 18.
