Patna, Feb 15: A bomb blast rocked Arrah town in Bihar’s Bhojpur district on Thursday morning injuring at least a person. The explosion occurred when a bomb kept in a room of Harkhen Kumar Jain Dharmshala accidentally went off. The room was occupied by at least five men who were reportedly in the town to trigger a big attack.

The Arrah police said it has arrested the person injured in the blast. However, rest of occupants managed flee from the site. The men had come to Arrah from Kolkata to carry out their sinister plan. However, police said it was too early to confirm that the men were planning attacks in the town. An Aadhaar card and a pistol were recovered from the the room.

“There were 5 people in the room, out of which one is injured and has been sent to hospital. Their purpose can only be identified after investigation. One Aadhaar card and pistol have been recovered from room,” Avkash Kumar, Arrah SP, said.

“Two people have been questioned. It was a country made bomb and probe is on,” Sanjeev Kumar Singhal, ADG (Headquarters), Bihar, told the media.
