BJP would lose polls if demonetisation not reversed: Abu Azmi
"The whole country has been forced to come to the streets due to this decision and the agony of the people is only increasing with each passing day.
Mumbai, Nov 28 : Samajwadi Party’s Maharashtra unit president Abu Azmi today demanded that the Centre rolled back the demonetisation, claiming that otherwise, it would witness a “revolution of change” which will oust the BJP from power in many states. “The whole country has been forced to come to the streets due to this decision and the agony of the people is only increasing with each passing day.
If the government does not take back its decision, it will soon witness a revolution of change, which will oust the BJP from power in the various upcoming Assembly polls,” he said. The SP MLA was talking to reporters after taking part in a ‘rasta roko’ programme organised by his party in Nagpada area here to protest demonetisation.
He was accompanied by SP leaders Rais Shaikh, Shahnawaz Khan and Ruksana Siddique among others. “The poor are the worst affected. Even if they seem patient from outside, they are shattered within. People who had welcomed this decision are opposing it. This is only the start to their opposition,” Azmi said.
