New Delhi, Jan 12: PSLV-C40/Cartosat-2, along with 30 co-passengers, was launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) today at 9.28 AM from the first launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota. Watch PSLV-C40/Cartosat-2 launch live
The entire launch of satellites is expected to happen over a period of 2 hours and 21 seconds.
The co-passenger satellites comprise one micro and nano satellite each from India as well as three micro and 25 nanosatellites from six countries — Canada, Finland, France, Korea, the United Kingdom and United States of America.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate National Youth Festival in Greater Noida through video conferencing. The Festival will commence on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the youth icon of India. The inaugural function will be co-presided by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath, and Union Minister for State (Independent Charge) of Youth Affairs and Sports Col. In Delhi, the Jawaharlal Nehru University has made minimum 75% attendance compulsory for all part-time, BA, MA, M.Sc, M. Tech, MPH, PG Diploma and M.Phil students. The circular was issued by Asst Registrar (Evaluation) Sajjan Singh, based on recommendations of the compulsory attendance committee.
