New Delhi, Dec 15: The Winter Session of Parliament begins on Friday. During a total of 14 sittings over a duration of 22 days, both the Houses, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, will take up 25 Bills, including GST compensation to states, for consideration and passing. The Winter Session of Parliament will conclude on January 5.
In Delhi, the police received a bomb threat call in Khan Market area in the early morning hours today. Dog squad and bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot.
In Uttar Pradesh, a Japanese tourist was allegedly drugged and robbed in Varanasi. “The culprit decamped with my belongings, including cash, camera, mobile, passport, visa and other documents,” he said. A case has been registered in the matter.
Meanwhile, cold wave intensified in Delhi. A total of 25 trains were delayed, two rescheduled and 12 have been cancelled. The fog cover has also impacted the flight operations.
