New Delhi, Mar 30: Following students’ protest in Delhi over the CBSE paper leak case, section 144 has been imposed at Union Minister Prakash Javadekar’s residence on Kushak Road, news agency ANI reported. Heavy security, including the Rapid Action Force, has been deployed at the residence of Javadekar and the CBSE office. The protest of the students is being supported by NSUI, the students’ wing of the Congress.

Earlier, NSUI activists wrote to the HRD Minister demanding that no re-examination of class 10 Maths and class 12 Economics should take place. Instead, they demanded, the culprits be identified and punished for playing with the future of nearly 28 lakh class 10, 12 students. Demanding removal of CBSE chief Anita Karwal, the students said that they would boycott the re-examination. (Also Read: Question Papers Sold For Rs 16,000 a Night Before Exam, Claim Students)

Speaking to News18, one of the students said that they would attack the CBSE building of the re-examination dates are announced. Claiming that all the CBSE board papers were leaked, the students have demanded a re-examination of all the subjects and just the two of them. The students have also threatened that they would boycott the re-examination if conducted.

Meanwhile, the Crime Branch has sought a reply from Google about the email which was sent to CBSE chairperson. The email, according to the reports, contained images of handwritten question paper of class 10 Maths exam. Earlier today, the Delhi Police detained six students for questioning in the CBSE paper leak case. Since Thursday, the Delhi Police have questioned over 30 people in connection with the CBSE class 10 Maths and class 12 Economics paper leak cases.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday, March 28, announced that it would be conducting the examination of class 10 Maths and class 12 Economics papers in wake of the CBSE paper leak. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce the dates of the re-examination of class 10 Maths and class 12 Economics paper on Monday, April 2, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Thursday.
