Mumbai, Apr 21: Stage is all set for the Chandrapur Municipal Corporation Election Results 2017. Counting of votes for Chandrapur Municipal Corporation election results will begin at 10 AM and early trends will start emerging from 11 am onwards. Chandrapur is the home turf of senior BJP leader and Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, but at present Congress is in power in the 66-member civic body. In Chandrapur Municipal Corporation elections 2017, 460 candidates are trying their luck whose fate will be decided by 3.02 lakh voters. Polling for the 66 wards of the Chandrapur Municipal Corporation elections was held on April 19. Chandrapur recorded 50 per cent voting.

In 2012 Chandrapur Municipal Corporation elections, Congress came to power winning 26 seats, while the BJP stood second with 18 seats. Shiv Sena had bagged 6 seats, whereas the NCP won 4 seats. Mayawati’s BSP got 2 seats, while Raj Thackeray’s MNS won 1 seat.
