New Delhi, Apr 15: A video has surfaced on social media in which a crowd is seen raising Jai Sri Ram slogan and brandishing swords outside a Delhi mosque, allegedly to instigate communal violence. #CommunalAAP trended among the top on Twitter after a report said at least two members of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were part of the crowd which chanted Jai Sri Ram and waved swords outside a mosque. Rebel AAP legislator Kapil Mishra also made the similar allegations against Arvind Kejriwal’s party.

According to a video report, AAP members Nandlal Kanaujiya and Santosh Sharma participated in the procession during which Jai Sri Ram slogan was raised outside a mosque in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area. Kanaujiya admitted that he along with other AAP workers was present when the incident took place, adding that they were unaware of what was going to happen. He also said that a Congress party member also participated in the procession, which was organised by Sanatan Hindu Vahini.

Kapil Mishra posted a video in which he shared pictures of Kanaujiya with several AAP leaders including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia. Mishra alleged that it was a conspiracy by AAP to instigate communal violence in the national capital. He further claimed that AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan put forward a proposal against Ram Navami celebrations in the Delhi Assembly in order to woo the community.

Here’s a video posted by Kapil Mishra which claims AAP members waved swords outside a mosque:

Mishra demanded the removal of the subject titled “Alleged attempts to incite communal disturbances on the pretext of Ram Navami procession” during the Assembly session, but he was marshalled out by Speaker Ram Niwas Goel. The AAP has not responded yet to the allegations.
