Complaint filed against Manish Sisodia of intimidation; Arvind Kejriwal to send him at PM Modi's residence to surrender himself

New Delhi, June 26: Delhi’s deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia is facing accusations of ‘criminal intimidation’. On Saturday, President of Ghazipur Vegetable Association Surendra Goswami filed a written complaint against Sisodia, accusing him of threatening the vendors. The charges have infuriated chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is already agitated over the arrest of his MLA Dinesh Mohaniya by Delhi Police on charges of behaving violently with an elderly woman of his constituency.

On Sunday morning, Kejriwal informed that his MLAs, led by Sisodia will march up to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence at 7 RCR. He further claims that Sisodia will surrender himself outside the residence of Modi, on the charges which have been levelled against him. The arrest of MLA Dinesh Mohaniya, followed by the charges against Sisodia, has worsened the relation between AAP government and Centre. Kejriwal has accused Modi of deliberately hounding his government through the Delhi Police, which is being controlled by central government.

Ahead of the arrest of Mohaniya, the Anti Corruption Bureau of Delhi had filed the FIR in ‘water tanker scam’ in which Kejriwal was booked as a co-accused along with Sheila Dixit. Although the scam dates back to 2013, ACB claims that there could be a possibility that Kejriwal attempted to cover-up the scandal.

Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding the murder of NDMC lawyer M M Khan has also turned into a flash point between AAP and BJP. Kejriwal has accused Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and BJP MP Maheish Girri of shielding the primary accused in the murder case.
